Licensed Nurse Practitioners — advanced clinicians who can diagnose, prescribe, and manage care, much like a family doctor.

Nurse Practitioners are advanced practice clinicians with graduate-level education (a master's degree or higher) and extensive clinical training. In BC, they are licensed and regulated by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.

They can:

• Provide preventive care and health planning

Yes. In British Columbia, NPs are legally authorized to act as your primary care provider. That means they can be your first point of contact for most healthcare needs — everything from diagnosing a cough to managing long-term conditions like diabetes or hypertension.

• Order labs and imaging

Lab work and specialist referrals are still covered by MSP. Your membership covers everything else — unlimited access, extended visits, and prevention-first care.

MSP covers the basics — but long waits, rushed visits, and gaps in prevention are common. Arden Health is different: unlimited access, longer visits, same-day appointments, and comprehensive annual exams. Think of it as investing in peace of mind, prevention, and care that actually fits your life.

Most traditional extended health plans in BC don't cover membership fees for primary care clinics like Arden. However, many employers offer Health Care Spending Accounts (HCSAs), which are more flexible. In many cases, you can use your HCSA to reimburse your Arden Health membership.

We're also exploring partnerships with insurers as this model of care becomes more widely recognized.

Most visits are 30–45 minutes. No rushing — just the time you need to feel heard and cared for.

Yes. Choose in-person or secure virtual visits — whatever fits your schedule.

We guide members on after-hours needs and ensure follow-up care. True emergencies should always go to 911 or the ER.

A deep look at your health: lifestyle review, bloodwork (covered by MSP), screenings, and optional advanced tests like DEXA or lung function. It's designed for prevention and early detection.

Your NP will refer you directly and coordinate care — just like a family doctor would.

Your NP can prescribe and renew most medications. Refills are simple to request in person or online.

Our first clinic is in Richmond, but members from Delta, Vancouver, and Burnaby are welcome. More locations are coming soon.

Virtual visits are available anywhere in BC. If you move out of province, we'll help transfer your care.
